Job Summary

The System Administrator, VI SME will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of server environments to ensure system performance meets user requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for server configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement IT solutions that meet the requirements specified by the customer.
  • Provide technical leadership in the resolution of complex system issues, leveraging expertise in system administration.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of the system infrastructure, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures using Microsoft Visio.
  • Work closely with the security team to ensure the system infrastructure is compliant with security policies and standards.
  • Mentor and train junior system administrators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • In accordance with DoD 8140.03-M, must meet the Intermediate Proficiency Level qualifications.
  • Must have at least three years of experience managing, supporting, patching, backing up, and restoring VMWare vCenter & Horizon View environments within DoD.
  • Must have experience securing systems and applications in accordance with Federal, DoD, and HQ USINDOPACOM regulations, directives, policies, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
  • Must have at least two years of experience managing Cisco UCS in a DoD environment.
  • Must have experience managing VMware NSX.
  • Must have experience managing Rubrik and Cohesity.
  • Must have experience managing VMwarevSan,vCOPS,vRO, Aria, andESXiin a DoD environment.
  • Must have experience managingTintriand Pure storage.
  • Must have experience supporting Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) agents.
  • Must be “VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP - DCV) 6 (or later)” certified and certification must be in good standing.

Security Clearance:

  • Must possess an activeTop-Secretclearance with the ability to obtain SCI access.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment, with a proven track record of managing complex system infrastructures. Maintaining 100+ VMs across different physical locations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve system issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Continuity of Operations (COOP) experience in design, implementation, maintenance and testing of.
