As the HR Director for the BMS Devens Campus you help drive Culture and Engagement initiatives for the overall Campus (that hosts both Biologics Operations, Product Development and Cell Therapy Operations), and you provide strategic HR Business Partner support to the local Biologics Operations Leadership Team, in their execution of the Global Product Development & Supply (“GPS”) organization’s People Strategy. You are responsible for the integration of HR policies and strategies across the Campus. You report into the Vice President HRBP Biologics Operations & Global Quality and you will have one direct report.
Position Responsibilities
Provides strategic HR Business Partner leadership to the Campus Lead & their respective teams in order to drive business performance and foster cooperation across the enterprise;
Ensures the implementation and success of the People Strategy and the full implementation of the HR Operating Model.
Strategic and Consultative, and drives execution excellence through the People Services team;
Leverages business strategy, people strategy, external best practices and organizational insights to deliver bold and innovative organizational and talent solutions;
Contributes actively to Operations talent plan with an enterprise lens.
Applies “systems thinking” and leads change for effectiveness of organization performance through the use of metrics and analytics in a way that drives business performance;
Applies judgment to data insights and trends to support business talent and organization decisions that drives organizational effectiveness and innovative and robust workforce planning , engagement strategies, and succession management;
Collaborates across the HR OP Model (COE’s, People Services) to articulate business needs and partners in delivering solutions in ways that bring value across the enterprise; Accountable for the full implementation and stabilization of the HR Operating Model for both GPS sites, which includes establishing priorities with PS and CoE partners as well as leading the change with the sites leadership;
Through Strategic Workforce Planning, helps identifying organizational capabilities we need to become a best-in-class GPS organization that is a competitive advantage to the organization;
Drives and leads GPS wide People Projects
Establishes the People Strategy to support the Devens integrated campus approach, in close partnership with the campus BMS leadership;
Takes a leadership role in creating a respectful and inclusive work environment while role-modeling the BMS Behaviors and fostering cultural diversity;
Represents BMS with external environment in the local/state communities and establish a proper branding strategy with key external stakeholders incl. schools, colleges and local communities;
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree/Certification/Licensure
College/University BA/BS Degree, Advanced Degree preferred
Experience – Responsibility and minimum number of years
10+ years of HR experience preferably in multinational businesses with US prior experience
Competencies – Knowledge, Skills Abilities
Extensive experience as an HR business partner with significant leadership skills
Proven success in working effectively at senior management levels to impact and influence decision making
Experience working with global teams and in a heavily matrixed environment
Proven application in leveraging business acumen and external insights to improve business and talent outcomes
Experience in leading significant change management and culture activation efforts including defining change and communication plans
Experience in the use of metrics and analytics in a way that drives business performance
Demonstrated experience in applying workforce planning knowledge, engagement strategies, and succession management
Proven experience in working effectively within a matrixed environment and building alignment in a cross functional and team environment
Knowledge of external trends and factors that influence human behaviors and decision-making at the individual, group, and organizational level
Role based in Devens, MA. Limited travel to Central New Jersey will be required.
