Application Programmer II
Job Summary
Amentum is currently seeking an Application Programmer II to support an IT Managed Services program for the Department of Energy. The Application Programmer will participate in the design of software tools, and subsystems, to support, reuse, and provide analysis of classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) services for National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia (NTESS).
Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and develop software systems and solution for mission programs. These solutions enable many mission-critical activities in all phases of a customer’s product lifecycle.
- Interact frequently with application end users, mission customers and key stakeholders throughout Sandia.
- Participate in the design of software tools and subsystems to support reuse and domain analysis.
- Assist Applications Engineer and Applications Programmer to interpret software requirements and design specifications to code and integrate and test software components.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a U.S citizen
- Ability to be cleared at the TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q/L level and the ability to maintain clearance throughout the life of the contract.
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of experience relative to the requirements OR Associates degree and 9 years of experience OR High school / GED and 12 years of experience.
- experience with Javascript, Java, and/or .NET development, Angular, Spring Boot, experience with cloud native infrastructure services is required.
- Experience with relational and non-related databases, such as SQL and NoSQL and Docker and Kubernetes are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Clearance at the TS or DOE L/Q level preferred.
