Network Administrator / VoIP Administrator
Job Summary
Amentum is a MILITARY FRIENDLY top 10 company. As one of the largest and fastest growing service companies in our industry, we are seeking a full-time Network / VoIP Administrator to support Joint Staff in Suffolk, VA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manages and configures of Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unity Connection
- Configures video systems including Cisco Expressway C and Cisco Expressway E
- Provides operation and maintenance of hardware and software with minimal supervision
- Maintains and repairs servers, desktop and network equipment
- Provides software maintenance, testing and debugging and installation of upgrades and new applications
- Supports integrated communications operations and maintenance tasks to include monitoring data communications network and resolving problems, monitoring hub activity and performing diagnostics
- Supports the development and review of approved procedures to those processes that users follow and updates work instructions accordingly
- Explains user procedures for system operation and maintenance; Creates and delivers training for users and management
- Maintains up-to-date equipment and software inventories, and up-to-date network drawings
- Troubleshoots networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions, operational difficulties, and remediate vulnerabilities
Minimum Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain interim Secret prior to start and a TS/SCI after hire
- DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II or III compliant Baseline Certification
- HS Diploma and 8 years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education/experience). Practical IT experience must include two of the following areas (experience may be achieved simultaneously):
- VoIP
- IT network implementation
- IT protocols
- IT network operations
- IA concepts and implementation
- Operating systems
- Enterprise operations
- Enterprise incident management or problem resolution
- Technical training in a relevant Information Technology technical field
- Excellent communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs
- Ability to support Joint Staff Events/Exercises on nights and weekends as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
