Jr. Network Administrator

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working with Help Desk support, including troubleshooting and problem resolution, for all LAN/WAN hardware and software.
  • Assists with consultation in network and computer operations, design, planning, and maintenance.
  • Working with and updating network topology via Microsoft Office Tools (ie Word, Excel, and Visio)
  • Working in a SharePoint Environment for Collaborating with other IT Teams and Customer; and other duties as needed for this role.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) and at least 2 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
  • Experience with the design, installation, maintenance, administration, and support of internal computer systems and networks in a multi-protocol LAN/WAN environment.
  • Experience with basic configuration, monitoring, maintenance and analysis of data processing equipment, databases and video systems.
  • Experience with assisting with installation and upgrades to operating systems and other application software in a LAN/WAN client/server environment.
  • Understanding of connectivity through the use of TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, NDS, NT Domain strategies and protocols.
  • Experience with connectivity between multiple remote locations through the use of WAN equipment and services.
  • Experience with managing LAN/WAN security requirements through proper software/hardware tools and procedures including router and firewall management.

Desired Qualifications:

  • JUNOS - Service Provider Routing and Switching (JNCIA)
  • Completion of Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Experience with setup and managing Teams Conference Rooms and Desktop Phones via Microsoft Tenant
  • Visio/Topology Experience.

Additional Notes:

  • Travel required.
