System/Network Administrator
Amentum is seeking a RF Engineer to join our engineering team in Dahlgren, VA.

RF Engineer Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for the design, development and integration of communication networks in support of the MAGTF Integrated Command and Control (MIC2) project
Supporting the Science and Technology (S&T) Division, Command, Control, Communications & Computers (C4) Branch, Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL), United States Marine Corps (USMC).
Supporting the MAGTF Integrated Command and Control (MIC2) Team in the research, design and testing of Network Engineering applications for the development of US Marine Corps (USMC) Command & Control (C2) systems.
Performing communication network engineering by performing analysis, design and implementation of IP based communication networks, supporting heterogeneous traffic, including voice and data.
Performing network modeling and simulation to evaluate performance of network protocols.
Applying knowledge of network design, including core and edge access networks, IEEE 802.3, routing protocols, and switching networks.
Shall support hands-on installation, troubleshooting and testing of C2 hardware on USMC platforms; support field test events, operational testing, and training at NSWCDD Laboratory Facilities and various USMC field locations.

Minimum Qualifications and experience:
Five (5) years of network engineering experience including two (2) years of specialized experience performing design, development and testing of IP based communications networks containing heterogeneous traffic, including voice and data.
Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TOP SECRET Clearance.
Experience in network modeling and simulation to evaluate performance of network protocols.
Demonstrated experience with Cisco network device installation, operation and maintenance.
Experience with various network protocols (OSI Layers 2 and 3) related to switching (802.1q), routing (OSPF, EIGRP), tunneling (GRE, IPSEC), multicast (PIM), and Quality of Service (QoS)
Experience in developing network test bed and emulations, computer virtualization, and with packet capture analysis using Wireshark or similar tools.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to work in a small yet dynamic team environment.
Ability to work independently once tasked by supervisor.
Ideal candidate will have Experience with satellite IP Networks.
CCNA and a Linux certification highly desired
