Do it here.What youll be doing...The Risk Management & Compliance team is responsible for overseeing Verizon policies, processes, people and systems while partnering with business leaders to identify and mitigate financial, operational, legal, regulatory and reputational risk. You are responsible for assisting in the evaluation and mitigation of risk across the Verizon Global Network and Technology Organization, and using that evaluation to prioritize risks.+ Enhance risk assessments of business processes, and implement mitigation strategies based upon risk priorities.+ Assist in the development and implementation of the strategy to improve financial performance and asset protection, including the design of analytics to monitor gaps and threats, conducting detailed investigations and maintenance of controls in an evolving business environment.+ Assist with planning and implementation of recommendations.+ Assist with the development, documentation and implementation of the risk management program in a manner that fulfills the mission and strategic goals of the organization while complying with regulatory guidance.+ Assist with the implementation of the governance, risk and compliance (GRC) tool and Integrated Risk Management technologies.+ Manage frequent ad-hoc requests from the business for advice/assistance regarding controls and compliance.+ Develop and maintain working relationships with stakeholders, including business partners, Internal Audit, Legal, Human Resources, Information Security and Corporate Security.+ Aggregate and communicate timely and accurate information regarding improvement actions and compliance findings to the C-Suite and departmental stakeholders.What were looking for...Youre a great communicator, winning the trust of team members, internal customers, and external suppliers. You get personal satisfaction from analyzing problems and delivering solutions to improve business processes.Youll need to have:+ Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.+ Three or more years of relevant work experience.+ Willingness to travel occasionally (minimal future travel).Even better if you have:+ A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math, or Information.+ A Professional certification (CIPP, CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, CISSP, etc.).+ Experience in operational compliance, business controls or Finance.+ Knowledge of statistics, reporting and analytical tools.+ Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound and balanced judgment.+ Knowledge of privacy and sustainable reporting frameworks.+ Knowledge of risk frameworks (COSO, NIST, ISO, COBIT etc.)+ Experience with data mining tools and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau).+ Experience interpreting and implementing policies and processes to ensure a strong control environment.+ Experience leveraging auditing principles and methods to evaluate policies, processes and systems to identify business risks and control gaps.+ Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.+ Demonstrated organizational, facilitation and negotiation skills.+ Telecommunications experience.Equal Employment OpportunityWe're proud to be an equal opportunity employer - and celebrate our employees' differences, including race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, and Veteran status.
