What you’ll be doing...

As the Senior Engineer Consultant - Technical Product Manager, you will be a key driver in the Corporate Systems Group (CSG) - Emerging Technologies & Digital Innovation (ET&I) team, focusing on defining both a long-term vision and near-term execution plan to inform technical product roadmaps and communicate the value of ET&I’s solutions and how they anticipate and ultimately solve corporate customer challenges delivering a product vision alongside the engineering team.

Comprised of passionate and forward-thinking leaders, the CSG Emerging Technology & Digital Innovation (ET&I) team you will join includes ecosystem builders and industry experts in Blockchain, FinTech, digital twins, AI, ML and other emergent technologies. With a belief that the autonomous future sits at the intersection of intelligent networking, devices and software, the team is working to shepherd internal corporate business partners through their digitization journeys to enable the connection, management and operation of digital FinTech elements needed for future ready enterprise operations. The combination of these technologies will transform corporate enterprise landscapes to deliver new levels of efficiency, intelligence and business outcomes in productivity, experiences and compliance.

You will be working across various teams within CSG and broader Verizon to ensure our strategy is well understood and aligned with Verizon’s growth initiatives, primarily in the FinTech space.

• Understanding the corporate customer and their challenges, owning and driving the product roadmap to align to existing and unmet needs.
• Strategizing objectives and key results (OKRs) and establish KPIs to demonstrate the success of the product.
• Owning the technical relationship with Verizon external partners, including managing product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of additional technical resources. Work directly with corporate customers to create solutions and use cases that leverage CSG Fintech product integrations and generate business value.
• Collaborating and partnering with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Design, Solution Architecture, Delivery, Finance and Legal to ensure ET&I products meet and exceed stakeholder expectations.
• Analyzing product performance to measure overall success and engagement, tracking feature adoption, identifying user behaviour and then feeding this knowledge back into product design and requirements.
• Serving as the internal voice and champion of the corporate customer and employees, creating business cases and growth models to drive product strategy.
• Understanding requirements, setting priorities, ensuring that requirements are translated into workable epics and stories.
• Representing the corporate customer’s needs while addressing engineering team questions on epics and stories. You are the go-to person for leadership when they have questions on requirements, schedules and deliverables.
• Providing out of box thinking in building innovative solutions using emergent technologies

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• A degree.
• Four or more years of Agile Product Owner experience.
• Experience in Agile product management and development practices.
• Experience in working with front-end and back-end engineering teams and technologies delivering code for production applications.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience using Cloud and open source technologies.
• Experience in designing and building applications using AWS services.
• Experience in blockchain and other fintech technologies at an enterprise level.
• Ability to research and evaluate leading-edge technologies to inform and influence product build.
• Ability to identify opportunities for new products, improvements, and refinements that align with our business objectives and communicate their value.
• Knowledge of general software architecture & software design concepts and experience of applying them in the development of enterprise level software products.
• Experience in enterprise and large scale deployment.
• Experience in architecting, designing and programming applications in an AWS Cloud environment.
• Experience in building project plans, delivery models and best practices related to their implementation.
• Experience in billing systems, billing data, revenue systems, and/or revenue assurance/reporting.
• Knowledge of Telco/financial application systems.
• Ability to translate data, sentiment and business concepts into well-articulated and compelling visual narratives at the executive level.
