This individual will be in charge of orchestrating all CI initiatives in close collaboration with multiple teams within the C&E GBU, including sales, marketing, and product management. The Director of CI will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data on the market and competition to deliver actionable intelligence to multiple team members within the GBU, as well as being a thought leader and subject matter expert on the construction and engineering competitive landscape._Key Responsibilities_* Coordinate and execute research on competitive developments through multiple channels, including online content, customer interactions, market research, industry analysts, win-loss programs, and other primary and secondary sources.* Provide in-depth and ongoing competitive research and analysis of competitors strategy, focusing on the delivery of accurate, timely, unbiased, and contextual analysis as a subject matter expert.* Provide actionable competitive intelligence, sales tools, training, and consultative engagement to serve the needs of the field (cheat sheets, whitepapers, rebuttals, slides, and news flash, etc.) with net-new information, defensible analysis/proof points, and positioning of Oracle products and solutions favorably against the competition.* Develop, present and maintain regular sales trainings for global and regional field organizations.* Function as an internal consultant to all CEGBU departments including product management, product marketing and executives to provide insight relative to the competitive landscape, deep SME of competitors (company, business and product level), and advise on replacement campaigns, marketing content, and product requirements.* Collaborate with senior product, marketing and sales leadership in defining competitive positioning, differentiation, market dynamics and research to define the Total Available Market (TAM)._Expected Experience_* Ten years experience in competitive research within the technology sector* Ability to translate high volumes of ambiguous or conflicting information into concise insights* Outstanding strategic thinker with a customer-centric mentality* Exceptional communicator, who can write, present and effectively adjust messages to meet individual audiences needs* A hands-on builder of a high performing function who can both lead and do* Proven track record of driving transformation and partnering closely with cross-functional teams* Passion for problem solving in a fast-paced environment* Excellent program/project management skills with ability to drive complex strategic and operational initiatives*/At Oracle, we dont just value differenceswe celebrate them.
