"**Supplier Sourcing Program Manager 3****Preferred Qualifications**Preferred Qualifications - InternalPosition Overview: The Supplier Sourcing Program Manager will be part of the department that manages the suppliers for mechanical parts, strategic sourcing and the EM business processes. This position is for mechanical commodity supplier program manager role where the candidate will manage the commodity strategy, supplier contracts, processes, initiatives, costs, quality, availability, supply chain development and technical activities from new product introduction through end of life(product life cycle).Responsibilities: -Manages the supplier relationships for cost, quality, availability and technical requirements for all mechanical product through the whole product life cycle. Work with engineering to create specifications, prepares the request for proposals, evaluates the proposals and works with the stakeholders to select the qualified supplier.- Negotiates the master supply agreements, licenses and product award letters to Oracle terms.Tooling evaluation with the design engineer to obtain the best cost and suitable lifecycle tooling- Manage supplier availability and reliability and develops new supply sources and the same work applies into the subtier suppliers. Set up the cost model,Driving cost and negotiate the competitive cost- Supports supply chain execution material expediting and escalations to ensure material readiness and no delay to the NPI schedule.Preferred Skills: Familiar with mechanical manufacturing and each step of processing, at least 3-5 years of tooling management including technical and cost sense. and Highly motivated individual contributor and cross functional team leader, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. - Candidate must have proficient contract and pricing negotiation skills and have a detailed understanding of the product development processes, supply base and supply chain. - Candidate should have strong business acumen to create the commodity strategies, cost models and business processes. - Must have experience negotiating production agreements and understand technical details needed to negotiate intellectual property contract terms and custom work exhibits. - Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar role. - Strong Project Management and analytical qualities. - Ability to work in an ever changing climate with high accountability and a sense of urgency. - Effectively deal with ambiguity, learn on the fly, and make concise decisions. - Prioritize and multitask effectively. - Proven ability to influence others and drive resolutions. - Strong problem solving and decision-making skills. - BA/BS in related discipline. Ideal candidate will have engineering, mechanical commodity experience, supplier management and program management background.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Work with engineering and lead cross functional team to define and implement the commodity sourcing strategy: - Covering the design, qualification, and implementation of NPI and sustaining solutions. - Meeting corporate design objectives, product design team requirements, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer performance requirements. - Provides the optimum supply chain solutions with respect to supplier strategy, supply base consolidation, cost, quality, availability and technical capabilities. - Provide support for global manufacturing, distribution, and customer support functions.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Ability to work with suppliers, multi-functional teams and achieve results through influence. Excellent communication / presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people from different functions and levels, both internally and externally. In depth knowledge of mechanical and related tooling commodities, materials, & processes. In depth knowledge of relevant industry supplier base. In depth knowledge of best-in-class sourcing practices and suitable approaches to drive cost avoidance. In depth knowledge of international regulations and approaches the supply base can reduce environmental impact. Demonstrated self-initiative and ability to drive to closure.PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE: Oracle's supplier & material management processes relating to supplier selection, cost, quality & availability. YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5 MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science Degree in mechanical Engineering or Business Administration.**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**Interfaces with development and supplier stakeholders to provide materials and components for company product supply chain.Provides direction and specialist knowledge in supply chain strategies for continuous cost improvement through partner negotiations. Creates supply chain standards and communicates product standards/specifications to suppliers. Conducts competitive analysis of suppliers, cost models, market analysis and supply chain alternatives. Evaluates submitted proposals/quotes against Oracle standards. Recommend and qualify new suppliers that meet both stakeholder, competitive cost and product standards. Negotiates and executes supplier contractual agreements while sustaining product competitiveness. Provide supplier performance feedback to ensure Oracle standards are achieved. Creates and implements supply chain initiatives and improvements to drive efficiencies and best practices. Develops constructive stakeholder relationships which involve direct interaction with different Oracle lines of business and Oracle suppliers. Influences product selection with stakeholders based on continuity of supply, cost, and technology.Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, negotiations, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving. Job duties are varied and complex; independent judgment needed. May have project lead role.
