Leidos is Making the world safer, healthier, and more efficient. The Defense Group of Leidos has an opening for a Systems Administrator / Site Lead to work on customer site at Ft Shafter, HI.

JOB SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate will lead a large team of experienced professionals that is responsible for IT repair, maintenance, operations, and engineering services to ensure that the organization's information technology infrastructure is operating securely, reliably and efficiently. This individual will plan, organize, secure and manage resources to bring about the successful completion projects within scope, time, and budget constraints. This individual also acts as the Site Lead addressing local staffing and reporting requirements, interfacing across multiple teams, with the local Government Customer leadership and reporting up the Leidos Program Manager. This is a large central site, with geographically spread-out locations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and manage technical staff while communicating across teams and with customers and Leidos program managers. Responsible for personnel and project management at the Site such as assigns personnel to various projects, directs their activities, and evaluates their work. Responsible for the day‐to‐day IT operations, including service desk, desktop, server, storage, and network administration, VTC scheduling and operations support, and hardware support. Acts as first-level supervisor for central site and remote site employees. Manage personnel and their operational and project-related workloads.

Manage entire projects spanning multiple technical areas, working to achieve key project/program objectives and deliverables. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services. Defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must currently possess an active TS/SCI

  • Must possess PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Federal Acquisition Certification Program/Project Managers (FAC-P/PM) Entry Level certification on Project Management

  • Minimum Education / Experience Level: MA/MS degree in technology related field and 10+ years of in-depth experience in design, configuration, operations, and troubleshooting of IT systems

    • With a BA/BS degree in technology related field and 12 years of experience may serve in lieu of a MA/MS degree

  • Current cyber workforce certification at IAT Level II, such as CompTIA Security+ CE

    • Or other equivalent certification defined in DoDD 8140.01 (Formerly DoDD 8570.01M)

  • Broad management and leadership knowledge and 4+ years of experience managing teams of at least 25 IT professionals that may be diverse geographically or technically

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interface with military officials, managers, and technical teammates across multiple areas

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Enterprise-level IT experience with maintenance of servers, storage devices and applications

  • Knowledge of IT service desk requirements and management software

  • IT services management certification, such as ITIL Foundation

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $156,000.00 - $210,600.00
