The Scrum Master will be joining a team of highly skilled and highly motivated individuals who are working on one of the UKs leading programme. As a result of some exciting programme wins, we currently have a permanent vacancy for a Scrum Master to support the discovery, design, configuration, and implementation of our solution.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Scrum Master to work alongside the Programme Manager for our Government client. Supporting a multi-functional team and to manage the scheduling of project delivery, change and new business. This position is a full time, permanent role and applicants must have SC clearance and be willing to undergo DV.
Responsibility for Scrum Master:
Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices
Helping the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction
Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organization
Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments
Help the scrum and development teams to identify and fill in blanks in the Agile framework
Resolve conflicts and issues that occur
Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
Support the product owner and provide education where needed
Required Skills:
Prior experience leading a scrum team for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict
Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum
Ability to determine what is scrum and what is not
Experience with successful Agile techniques
Ability to work with and lead a team
Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
Ability to adapt to a changing environment
Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
Desired Skills:
Prior experience leading a scrum team for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
Awareness and experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing.
Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team.
The experience in applying a wide variety of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: various Burndown technologies, many Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).
Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
CLEARANCE REQUIRED:
Requirement to have or undergo high level clearance (DV)
Additional Information
Work location will be in Farnborough but will require visits to customer sites
