Accountable for providing IT support in the development and implementation of electronic Batch Records in compliance with customer requirements for the development of MES Syncade recipes. Assist, when required, Humacao site MES Support operations different shifts (rotational, 2nd,3rd and weekend shifts). Responsible for design, development and maintenance of eBR recipes and applications. In addition, accountable for the design, development and execution of validation plans and protocols for the systems in scope. This position must comply with all Security guidelines, Environmental, Health and Safety regulations and the current Good Manufacturing Practices required by the job function.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Identifies and documents requirements by establishing end user interaction.
2. Arranges project requirements sequence by analyzing requirements; preparing a work flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter expert, programming language, and logic.
3. Translate business requirements into a robust data design which is compliant, efficient, and effective.
4. Desing, test, and maintain the EBR and related manufacturing data, including, but not limited to, items, specifications, lookups, list of values, recipes, routings, formulas, process instructions, and process variables..
5. Confirms recipe operation by conducting functional tests; modifying recipe sequence and/or recipe code.
6. Coordinate the testing of master data and MES recipes with peers and internal customers to ensure business requirements are achieved.
7. Provides end user reference for recipe use by writing and maintaining user documentation.
8. Maintains computer systems and programming guidelines by writing and updating standard policies and procedures.
9. Protects operations and data secured by keeping information confidential.
10. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
11. Maintain the recipe release process to meet manufacturing requirements and to maintain compliant, efficient, and reliable batch records and supporting data .
12. Provides support to Humacao site operations shifts (rotational, 2nd, 3rd and weekend shifts) based on business needs.
13. Supports Bristol-Myers Squibb manufacturing facility to ensure that cGMP’s related IT Systems are properly maintained operating plans and in accordance to all Federal, State and Corporate Regulations and therefore, supporting BMS’s business goals.
14. Design and create reports used for data analysis and data trending.
15. Develop and provide technical training to Syncade MES users.
16. Maintain an understanding of the manufacturing processes, and Syncade MES recipes.
17. Responsible for assuring that BMS business system applications are developed, or selected, and implemented following the SDLC approach.
18. Administrates, maintains and executes change control activities related to Manufacturing Execution System and specialized manufacturing applications.
19. Generates and maintains the related Standard Operating Procedures and perform required system maintenance activities.
20. Developers functional specifications and requirements for integrated applications
21. Provides ongoing training to users on procedures, protocols and computer systems.
22. Provides technical advice on the selection of equipment and system software relation to integration with current systems.
23. Recommends acceptance of the computer system, as determined from the tests performed on the Protocol and analyzes data in order to determine acceptability.
24. Recommends actions to be taken if the system is not accepted.
25. Assists in any system related Quality Event Investigation in alignment with corporate directives and Site procedures.
26. Performs process analysis and recommends improvements to existing processes and participates proactively as a team member of implementation projects for new integrated business application.
27. Evaluates and closes change control documentation assuring the validated and compliance state of the environments.

DECISION MAKING:
A. Describe the position's responsibility for taking action, making final decisions and developing recommendations. Limiting factors might include existing policies, procedures, laws, regulations, internal controls, etc.:

• Analyze, review, and modify electronic batch records (eBRs) and software programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt program to comply with process manufacturing requirements.
• Defines programming logic recommendations to comply eBR or applications requirements.
• Sound decision making is required to assure the troubleshooting of applications supporting manufacturing processes maintaining its validated state and keeping the integrity of product and associated process data.
• Take operational critical and timely decisions that will have a direct impact to product quality and compliance.
• Decisions could include immediate actions as the supported systems include manfuactuiring during critical steps. Critical steps have predetermined times (or holding times) which establish time constraints before putting at risk the quality of the product or process being supported.
• Analyzes workload and capacity of computer systems to determine feasibility for expanding, upgrading or enhancing operations.

B. Describe the nature of supervision received, the degree to which procedures, methods and goals are outlined by the supervisor, and the immediacy of supervision:

• The incumbent is expected to work independently to accomplish those goals/objectives agreed with IT Management and existing operational procedures, policies and internal controls limit final actions.
