The Team

Core Technology Operations practitioners work on the design, delivery and support of a variety of solutions that help our clients meet business objectives. These solutions range from large scale ground-up custom developed applications, to Cloud-based development and integration services as well as customizing industry sector-focused packages. As a member of this team, you would get opportunities to work on all adjacent area technologies such as user interface/user experience development, integration services, business rules engine solutions, or Cloud-based services.

Work you'll do/Responsibilities:

As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be a key member leading our project software development teams with responsibility across analysis, design, development, test, and deployment phases of the software development lifecycle targeting the Microsoft Azure platform. You will:

• Evaluate business needs and priorities, liaise with key business partners and translate requirements into technical specifications
• Design software applications and processes from inception to completion
• Build large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines with Azure data processing frameworks
• As a lead, engage with technical architects and SMEs to bring innovative ideas and solutions
• Engage with product managers and the business during planning and implementation phases
• Be hands-on 80 percent of the time and manage the team 20 percent of the time.

• 6+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience with the ability to contribute to an end-to-end architecture and solution overview using Microsoft Azure tools
• Experience working on no less than 2 full system development life-cycle implementations using MS Azure toolset
• 6+ years' experience and deep expertise in at least one programming language such as Java, J2EE, Python and related IDEs.
• Experience with Azure services such as Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and ARM templates
• Experience with the following tools: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse, Pyspark, and Blob Storage (ADLS)
• Solid working knowledge of SQL and associated database concepts
• Competency in DevOps - Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
• Travel up to 50 percent nationally (While 50 percent national travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.);
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, engineering or a related discipline.
• Industry recognized technology certifications are a plus - Azure Certified Developer - Associate and/or Azure Certified Solutions Architect - Expert
• Eagerness to mention junior staff
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with presentations using Visio, MS PowerPoint and similar tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
