Job Description:

Expert-level systems administration support. Applies expert knowledge of concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments. Performs work that requires expert practical experience and training. Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including virtual, cloud, as well as web servers, in support of business processing requirements. Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels. Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions. Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations. Supports media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services. Develops and promotes standard operating procedures. Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.

Specific duties may include:

Responsible for cybersecurity requirements for software and systems being administered.

Provide and maintain IAGP software and hardware displaying performance characteristics and specific bandwidth to be made available to authorized customers and help desks

Provide and maintain IAGP software and hardware for customer-facing tools including CSONS, Voice Teleconferencing System (VoTS) usage, NASA Collaborative Infrastructure Resource Scheduler (NRS), and CP Call Detail to be made available to authorized users.

Provide upgrades to operational NASA approved tools to ensure on-going interoperability with all NASA tools.

Provide configuration updates as a result of any maintenance activity to NASA system of record.

Provide integration and system administration for Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software products.

Provide system integration and report generation capabilities for COTS and custom applications.

Maintain operational capability and enhance the performance and functionality of log aggregation systems and infrastructure. Provide access to authorized users for log analysis

Be responsible for COTS tools that support operation and management of systems and services located at the NASA External Border/TIC Boundary

Provide and maintain IAGP software and hardware for AEGIS service delivery support for Corporate and Mission Data Network Connectivity and Device Configuration Management documented in an agency system of record.

Develop and maintain IAGP software and hardware for automated network mapping capability to the generation and maintenance of Corporate network topology maps.

Develop and maintain IAGP software and hardware for an integrated business intelligence application providing business and service status dashboards for both Corporate and Mission Services.

Provide Application hosting for NASA's Identity Credential and Access Management (ICAM) application related to Personal Identity Verification (PIV) authentication solution for privileged and unprivileged access accounts that cannot access NASA Consolidated Active Directory (AD) (NCAD) related PIV solutions.

Maintain a PSLA custom application that is part of the NITSM tool which contains the requirements baseline and changes to requirements, implementations, and current/future pricing information.

Maintain the custom billing system embedded within the PSLA application which allows for creation and distribution of customer bills for the Fiscal Year (FY) and the full PPBE cycle.

Provide and maintain IAGP software and hardware for AEGIS service delivery support to the NASA approved tools to include the following: The Corporate and Mission infrastructure tracking system/customer database that tracks CRQs from creation to closure and correlates to CP customers.

Basic Qualifications

Must have minimum of 12 years’ experience

Relevant certification in the specific system or application being supported i.e., Linux, Windows Server, Apple MacOS, Remedy, ServiceNow etc.

Solid understanding of key communications tools, such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,900.00 - $126,000.00 - $170,100.00
