What you’ll be doing...

In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing project plans and driving project timelines, due dates as well as providing project updates to leadership in the Northeast district (i.e., MA, RI, CT, and NYS). These projects can include but are not limited to key business initiatives such as Fiber to the Cell and Fiber to the Premises.

  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
  • Hosting project meetings at least once a week with cross-functional teams (i.e., Engineering, Operations, Vz vendors, and wireless carriers) to ensure team members complete tasks according to the schedule.
  • Analyzing data to making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.
  • Serving as a point of contact for projects assigned to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
  • Communicating with senior management to provide monthly project updates.
  • Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs to ensure monthly and yearly targets are met.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You know a lot about outside plant engineering practices. You have knowledge of Hi-Capacity Services, Fiber-to-the-Cell, Fiber-to-the Premise, FIOS, Network Transformation and CORE procedures. You enjoy analyzing problems and having the autonomy to select and implement the right solutions. While you work well independently, you are also a great team player and enjoy leading colleagues and coordinating efforts to ensure best outcomes. No stranger to a fast-paced environment, you manage multiple assignments and competing priorities while staying focused on important deadlines. As a strong communicator, you can quickly build relationships with a diverse range of people and explain complex technical issues in a way that everyone can understand.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical/science/mathematics fields.
  • Experience with windows-based programs and corporate database systems.
  • Experience with CAD, MS Excel, and MS Access.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills.
  • Excellent leadership abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
