The Enterprise CTO organization, a division of Optum Technology, is responsible for defining the enterprise technology strategy in alignment with the United Health Group (UHG) vision, mission, and strategy. This team innovates technology transformation across the UHG enterprise to improve healthcare. The Enterprise CTO is uniquely positioned to help solve challenging problems that face our healthcare system today. Exciting opportunity to join the Enterprise CTO organization Mobile Center of Excellence team as a Senior iOS Engineer. In this role, you will work with a strong, collaborative team creating and building mobile consumer-facing applications focused on healthcare. You will have the opportunity to learn and try new technologies. Our broad userbase allows us to deep insights into the utilization of our applications and provides us ample opportunity to analyze the way consumers interact with our applications. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and build applications for iOS using Swift
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Work with outside data sources and API's
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
  • Help maintain code quality and standards with less senior developers

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of iOS development
  • 3+ years of experience with Swift
  • 3+ years of experience working with remote data via REST and JSON

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Mobile app deployment experience (Appstore/Google Play)
  • Experience with localized applications
  • Experience with accessibility
  • Experience with Objective-C
  • SwiftUI

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
