In this role, you will perform as a Techno-Functional Analyst on one of several data domain focused product teams for Verizon’s Enterprise Planning Platform in Oracle EPM Cloud. You will collaborate with corresponding business product owners across Finance, Supply Chain, and Network to create consolidated and integrated financial and operational plans to improve forecast accuracy by leveraging driver, trend, and predictive planning methodologies.
You will work with cross functional teams which will be accountable for end to end vision/strategy through to delivery, value realization, and run support/governance – this role will have & continue to develop a deep knowledge for the respective data domain product and technical knowledge and capabilities for Oracle EPM.
Your work will focus on partnering with the business to shape business processes, product vision & strategy, roadmap, and backlogs around key mission objectives delivering features from concept to launch through agile delivery methodologies, ensuring value realization, run governance, and support that delivers outstanding business results/user experience. This role will require experience in delivering extremely large and complex process transformation/system implementations including process design, functional design, technical / solution design, human-centered design, environment & deployment strategies, operational readiness, and change management across multiple functions spanning the SDLC lifecycle. The ideal candidate for this role will need to be equal parts business & technical analyst to be successful, with the ability to set rigorous technical/design standards whilst speaking the language of our business partners to influence positive outcomes for financial planning and forecasting capabilities. In the rapidly changing Verizon Corporate line of business, you will leverage your functional and Oracle EPM Cloud skills to accomplish the following:
- Defining and own product strategy, vision and roadmap for financial planning capabilities in Oracle EPM
- Applying your deep understanding of Oracle EPBCS as well as other applications such as Data Management/FMDEE, and Enterprise Data Management to support large-scale, complex planning projects, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.
- Engaging with the business stakeholders to understand the business process, data, and challenges, and partner with the business product owners on user story development.
- Performing a fit-gap analysis to identify which business needs can be met with Oracle EPM Cloud functionality.
- Performing Oracle EPBCS system configuration related to the functional design.
- Ensuring that designs are optimized both from a technical design perspective as well as the usability of the application.
- Developing functional designs.
- Ensuring that designs are optimized both from a technical design perspective as well as the usability of the application.
- Engaging with developers to ensure the functional designs are correctly transformed into technical designs.
- Partnering with developers to ensure designs are supportable and adhere to technical design standards.
- Performing functional testing to ensure delivered solutions meet requirements, design specifications, and user story acceptance criteria.
- Implementing solutions in a coordinated fashion to ensure the best business outcomes.

What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems.
- Experience in Oracle EPM Techno-Functional.
- Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting-related Leading Practices.
- Experience in financial statements, including income statements, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Experience in intercompany eliminations.
- Experience in writing functional specifications.
- Analyzing and documenting business requirements.
- Ability to innovate and find new ways to solve complex problems.
- Experience in product-based agile methodologies and value-driven delivery.
- Experience in Human-centered design principles.
- Strong communication skills.
- Leadership skills to professionally navigate obstacles, balance priorities, collaborate and work effectively on a virtual team.
