What you'll be doing...

The Central Engineering (CE) Network Regulatory and Compliance (NRC) team is responsible for several compliance related activities including the RFE (Radio Frequency Emissions) compliance, Licensing Compliance, Interference, and Spectrum clearing. The team is responsible for providing guidance and developing documentation capturing compliance requirements, along with providing policies and best practices to the field teams. The team is also responsible for developing tools and database used for compliance (Like FUZE RAVe, FUZE MW, License Tracker).

  • Providing guidance to the field teams on RFE Compliance matters.
  • Supporting the market physical audits up to 5 times a year.
  • Providing guidance to the field teams on Interference related matters.
  • Supporting data gathering on harmful impact to our network.
  • Supporting License Compliance SME's on the team with data gathering from the markets and tracking and reporting of project progress.
  • Utilizing data from network and RF tools (Like Atoll, xLPT, RTT, IOP) to drive compliance.
  • Automating and creating audit checks to eliminate compliance risks.
  • Sharing business and data intelligence obtained from tracking and reporting to develop best practices and techniques.
  • Mapping analysis of large amounts of information.
  • Interpretating FCC Rules.
  • Identifying risks associated with Non-Compliance.

What we're looking for...

A professional who understands radio-frequency (RF) fundamentals and related regulations. Spectrum is the lifeblood of the wireless business-a multi-billion-dollar asset-and requires that it is cared for and used appropriately. The right candidate is not only knowledgeable about RF, but also spectrum in general, and has a passion for working in this space and enjoys working with other teams to drive value for the company and our customers.

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in RF design and optimization.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • A degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
  • Understanding of FCC rules and requirements and experience interacting with government agencies.
  • RF design experience.
  • Hands-on experience with propagation modeling software such as Planet EV or Atoll.
  • Experience using GIS tools such as Mapinfo or Google Earth.
  • Tableau Desktop skills.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

If you are hired into a Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York work location, the compensation range for this position is between $90,000.00 and $182,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more.
