What you’ll be doing...

This position is part of our Artificial and Intelligence (AI&D) organization which focuses on delivering the power of data and AI to drive our marketplace leadership through innovative solutions that create value for our customers, shareholders, V teamers and society, responsibly.
You will support enablement strategies for effective data analysis and reporting. You will implement and support data analytics, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. You will performance and quality control plans. You will work on problems of moderate and varied complexity where analysis of data may require adaptation of standardized practices. You will assist management to prioritize business and information needs. You will support the end to end process of batch and real-time pipelines to enable insights for executives and channels to make proactive business decisions. You will be the first line support for data loading into the production Hadoop environment.

  • Responsible for running the day to day operations of the Data Warehouse data process on various technology platform like Hadoop, Unix/Linux and Teradata.
  • Work activities specific to Production Support roles include Problem/Incident Management, Release/Deployment, Operational Readiness, Capacity/Availability Management, Application Monitoring, Service Analytics and Reporting, Production Governance, Associate Support, Change/Configuration Management, SLAs.
  • Participate with management in the development of technology products, service standards and development efforts that impact the client/business area.
  • Serve as an escalation point between internal clients, Development, DBA, Sources team and Crisis management teams.
  • Monitoring and performance of production applications to ensure that internal and external teams work together to resolve any failures.
  • Manage client expectations and SLA’s to ensure smooth production throughout timelines.
  • Establish best practices for support methodology and processes including maintenance and support roadmaps, processes and technical documentation.
  • Ensure standard processes and procedures are adhered to and improve existing processes as well as identify, prioritize, resolve and/or escalate issues.
  • Optimize performance and solving scalability issues.
  • Develop and/or oversee development of configurations, monitoring procedures and break/fix documentation.
  • Pre-production and production release deployments, change ticket review and approvals.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong Linux/Unix command level experience.
  • Experience using job workflow tools, Oozie, Cron and ESP.
  • Experience using big data tools, HDFS, Hive, Spark, DistCp.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree. Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to analyze, model and interpret data.
  • Experience with programming languages, Tools and Technologies like Hive/Kafka/Spark/NiFI/shell scripting.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
