What you’ll be doing...

CABS is a Carrier Access Billing System and part of VPS (Verizon Partner Solutions). CABS also performs Non-Billing capabilities (Order Orchestration) and has an integrated architecture.
As a Senior Engineer Consultant-Software Development, This person plays a role in architecture, functional and detail design for CABS (Carrier Access Billing System) suite of applications.

  • Handling Production issue analysis & resolution for ensuring Billing accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintaining the application for SOX compliance and addressing any security related items.
  • Interacting with the business stakeholders and Revenue Assurance teams to review sensitive production data.
  • Analysing the artefacts and to arrive at defining impacts pertaining to CABS (Carrier Access Billing System) suite of applications.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Mainframe platforms (COBOL, DB2, IMS-DB, Telon, QMF, SPUFI, ESP, REXX, CLIST etc.)
  • Experience in framing architectural plans (familiarity with tools like Visio).
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Knowledge of billing principles and best practices.
  • Experience in DB2 stored procedures.
  • Experience in SLDC process.
  • Knowledge of JIRA, MS Applications.
  • Experience in configuration management tools like Endevor and scheduling tools like ESP.
  • Experience in Carrier Access Billing processes.
