What you’ll be doing...

The Visible Engineering Team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. Visible is building a next generation cloud mobile network platform, pushing the boundaries of the traditional mobile carrier. We're looking for innovative engineers who are passionate about writing code and unafraid of solving problems. The position is for a Lead Engineer on our Member Growth engineering team, contributing to the design and development of the platform and services that keep our customers happy. You will bring creative ideas and energy to the team, take calculated risks and challenge our thinking.

• Identifying when and how best to carve out platform functionality from a monolith into micro-services, while balancing the ongoing needs of the business.
• Advocating for best in class developer experience in tooling, engineering processes and code patterns.
• Learning from and mentor others and participate in MR reviews to continually raise the bar in our collaboration and our technical solutions.
• Striking the right balance between quality and speed, making responsible technical and functional trade-offs to delivery on our goals; incorporating technical debt and platform maintenance as a cornerstone of our engineering focus alongside feature development.
• Working across a complex ecosystem of technical and business partners to bring our strategic vision to reality, over and over again; communicating effectively when surprises come up and helping the team to work through dependencies and blockers.

Where you’ll be working…

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience in Salesforce/Vlocity, APIGEE & Microservices either framework Golang or Java/Spring.
• Experience in software application development.
• Experience in Salesforce and the Vlocity platform.
• Experience in Apigee as an API proxy.
• Knowledge of infrastructure or platform team.
• Knowledge of observability tools (e.g. Splunk, New Relic, Datadog).
• Knowledge of frontend web and mobile application architectures and frameworks.
• Experience in React Native development would be a plus
• Current GTS VCG employee

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

If you are hired into a Colorado or New York work location, the compensation range for this position is between $108,000 and $218,000 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
