Technology Software Pricing Strategist

What you'll Do

The goal of the Cyber SGO is to scale existing businesses, create new businesses and experiment with emerging technology to sustain and grow our current market leadership. In this role, you will work closely with business leaders representing solution offering leadership, Sales, Go-To-Market, Finance, and Operations to establish and execute end-to-end pricing and licensing strategy for key offerings within the Cyber & Strategic Risk portfolio. You will directly perform and leverage firm resources to perform market analysis to inform pricing strategy, establish pricing models, set price, and evaluate promotion/packaging and discounting guidance across channels (direct sales, partner sales, etc.).

You will:

  • Conduct market analysis and gather direct customer feedback to drive value-based pricing decisions
  • Work in close collaboration with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Delivery along with other key business stakeholders to establish pricing strategy, price points, and discount guidelines, align with overall business strategy, and provide input on value communication and offering roadmap
  • Develop models and pricing tools for use in sales engagements and to understand overall profitability of pricing
  • Monitor price performance from internal and external data sources to understand trends
  • Present pricing strategy proposals to Cyber & Strategic Risk Leadership and work with product and service offering leaders to prepare their proposals for presentation
  • Conduct modeling and impact analysis on new pricing and changes in pricing
  • Keep a pulse on market and technology trends that may impact pricing strategy
  • Support competitive pricing analysis working independently as well as with external research vendors on strategic projects

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering or Finance
  • Experience with "enterprise software" or "SaaS" pricing, and pricing for new businesses/business lines
  • 4 years of experience in a pricing related role
  • Ability to manage multiple projects & priorities, seamlessly moving between strategy & execution
  • Keen understanding of software market/competitive/pricing dynamics and proven track record of strong analytic capabilities
  • History of presenting recommendations and getting buy-in from senior executives
  • Exceptional presentation skills appropriate to the audience. Concise and fluent in communication
  • Ability to distill complexity via an analytic and structured approach
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and bring a proactive teaming mindset to projects
  • Self-motivated, with a proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment
  • Travel up to 25% (while 25% travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Expertise in Cyber technologies, solution offerings, and market space highly preferred
