Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leverage cloud infrastructure for data collection, aggregation, cleansing and transformation
  • Build and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics
  • Build and embrace data engineering best practices and technology adoption for DevOps, Cloud and Agile thinking
  • Work with Data analyst, product and project managers to understand the features, do technical assessment, design, code test and deliver in an Agile delivery model
  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
  • Keep data secure across national boundaries through multiple data centers and cloud regions
  • Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product innovation
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases both on-premise and cloud, such as Postgres, Cassandra, Cosmos
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Apache Spark, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
  • Experience with cloud services: Azure VMs, HDInsight, Databricks, Azure SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Oracle OCI
  • Experience with stream-processing systems: Kafka, Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc.
  • Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, Scala, etc.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
  • Expert in ETL tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Python/PySpark
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
