Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish secure development methodologies, engineering practices across teams to have product mindset
  • Design/Develop/Deploy solutions which are tech debt free and highly secure to build a world class MFT product for Optum needs
  • Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen
  • Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness
  • Manage medium size development team if required to coach/mentor/foster best engineering culture
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience of 10-12 years in end to end architecting/solutioning of enterprise products/applications on Java/J2EE stack
  • Established experience of setting engineering best practices and making sure team adherence of the same
  • Experience in Java 8 / J2EE, Strong in Java Concurrency, IO and Collections, JPA Framework, database query, HTTP & REST API design / SOAP Web Services
  • Experience in Multi-threading, Spring Boot and Micro-service Architecture
  • Experience in working in Managed File Transfer protocols such as SFTP/FTP/AS2 etc and/or Enterprise Information Security, OWASP, DevSecOps, SVA/NVA, Secure Coding Practices etc.
  • Team Management experience for medium sized teams
