We are committed to empowering the hotel industry to offer exceptional, differentiated guest services that foster loyalty.We are looking for Principal Software Engieer for our products with a passion for developing cutting edge solutions that enable Oracle Hospitality Cloud applications to seamlessly connect with a variety of cloud applications, both internal within Oracle Cloud such as HCM, ERP and CX but also third-party applications.*Responsibilities:** May function as technical lead for software development and integration projects* Analyzes technology environment, enterprise specifics and requirements* Provides significant contribution and oversight in technology selection, solution prototyping, and the design and development of software products/solutions* Delivers high quality products/solutions and ensures that best practices and sound engineering principals are applied in all phases of the software development life cycle* Supports product management* Possesses sufficient knowledge to constructively challenge current practices or approaches; identifies trends that have impact on work unit, or products and articulates implications to upper management* Has the ability to gain working knowledge of other ORACLE departments and how these areas can benefit his/her area* Provides training and mentorship to less experienced software engineers including code reviews*Qualifications** Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (preferably in computer science or related field)* 8 years of experience in software design and development with 3 years in technical lead/team lead role* Experience in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle* Expert level competency in core Java, SOAP/REST web services, microservice architecture, JPA/ORM, JUnit and Oracle database* Strong knowledge and experience with enterprise software solution design, IT infrastructure, cloud development, and DevOps* Architecture knowledge and understanding of iPaaS technologies* Experience defining and implementing integration solutions using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and related Oracle technologies* Exposure to Open Source integration tools such as Apache Camel, Apache Airflow to name a few* Understanding and experience implementing cloud native architectures* Passion and a genuine interest in integration* Excellent communication skills* Deep analytical skills*Preferred Skills:** Actual experience with Open Source integration tools such as Apache Camel, Apache Airflow etc. a big plus* Experience with hospitality industry a plus* Experience with HGBU Opera software a plus*/At Oracle, we dont just value differenceswe celebrate them.
