The role:

  • You will be responsible for design and software engineering delivery across one or more Critical National Infrastructure programmes.

  • You will partner with Agile Delivery Leads, Technical Leads, Product Owners, Bas and Testers to implement tools and platforms that continuously deliver high-quality products to Leidos’ customers

  • An experienced software Java engineer, used to developing systems in complex vendor and customer landscapes from discovery to live service.

  • Experience in Agile and Scrum environments.

  • Knowledge or experience of UI technologies React, JS

You might also have:

  • In-depth understanding of concepts of microservice architecture, API and event driven architectures using Apache Kafka and Redis.

  • Delivery experience in Java-based applications using Spring Boot.

  • Hands-on experience designing and delivering solutions that leverage AWS native and vendor platform services including Kubernetes, RDS, SQS, S3, Elasticache for Redis.

  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and Chart Museum

  • Broad implementation experience with DevOps technologies such as GitLab, Artifactory, Jenkins, Grafana, Kibana

Additional beneficial skills and experience:

  • Familiarity with Government Digital Services (GDS).

  • Experience building Activiti BPM workflow.

  • Good customer facing skills – you will need to demonstrate features developed as part of bid and delivery.
