This is a Java FSE Tech Lead position. The resource will completely focus on delivery ownership of one scrum team. Additional responsibilities will include - Architecture solution, creation of re-usable artifacts, partner with other Tech Leads/EMs/Architects, drive business and technical discussions etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technology as a senior member of the software engineer team, as part of an Agile scrum team assigned to work on the project
  • Designs, codes, tests, debug, and documents software, and enhance existing components to ensure that software meets business needs
  • Contribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software and should be able to clearly articulate the implications of design/architectural decisions, issues and plans to technology leadership
  • Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, mentoring, and software engineering best practices to junior software engineers
  • Develop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will enable team velocity
  • Collaborate on the design with other team members and product owners, both inside and outside the scrum team
  • Estimate engineering work effort for engineering team and effectively identify and prioritize the high impact tasks
  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure code developed meets coding best practices guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelines
  • Drive a quality mindset within the team
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Additional Responsibilities:

  • IT Guidance during Ideation, MVP, and Capability grooming
  • Solution architecture
  • Participate in feature creation discussions
  • Assign roadmap features to delivery teams - Avoiding any cross team dependency
  • Co-ordinate with other Tech Leads/Eng.Managers, BSAs, SMs to distribute the user stories
  • Participates in grooming of their teams’ stories
  • Identify when architecture solutions and patterns are needed and involves others as needed
  • Ensures team is following best practices
  • Remove barriers to delivery for team
  • Participates in business prioritization discussions to advise on dependencies, complexity, and feasibility
  • Ensure correct fitment of resources in each scrum teams
  • Active participation in all scrum ceremonies - Sprint Planning, Sprint Demos, Retros etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or equivalent)
  • 7+ years in the software engineering profession across entire SDLC
  • Strong experience in projects requiring application re-engineering, modernization
  • Strong knowledge of modern Digital technologies and landscape
  • Strong knowledge on JAVA and Java related technologies/frameworks
    • Strong experience in Core Java, J2EE,Spring, Spring Boot, API Development
    • Strong experience in Micro services design pattern
    • Proficient in UI Technologies - React/Angular 8+
  • Good knowledge of AWS/Any cloud technology
  • Good knowledge on Front End unit tests automation tools like Karma/Jasmine

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Adobe experience manager (AEM)
  • Experience with commercial software development and/or healthcare industry experience
