Primary Responsibilities:

  • Define business requirements and translate them into the creation of user stories with acceptance and testing criteria
  • Develop and configure ServiceNow catalog item and workflows
  • Develop custom Service portal pages/widgets to support the Business
  • Provide release and incident management support for the supported tools and services
  • Understand and practice ServiceNow best practices to maintain system compliance
  • Helping the team drive feature and story solutions
  • Delivering on story commitments for each sprint
  • Resolving production incidents
  • Helping the success of the team as a whole
  • Develop and execute test scripts for functional testing and execute them as part of any ServiceNow upgrade and release
  • Monitor the health, usage and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications
  • Under general direction, customize, configure, and support solutions on the ServiceNow platform as it relates to ITSM, CMBD, Service Portal, Workflows, IT Asset Management and other related functionality
  • Perform day-to-day administration of the ServiceNow system, including managing users; maintain user and group roles and profiles, security settings, access settings, etc.
  • Present system changes to the Change Management Board, communicate changes to targeted users and implement approved changes to the platform
  • Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards in the ServiceNow platform ensuring no impact on system performance
  • Ensure integrations between ServiceNow and other platforms are functioning as expected
  • Assist in building and maintaining internal documentation, create KB articles on ServiceNow functionality and train users
  • Act as liaison with various departments across campus
  • Perform technical issue/problem resolution
  • Facilitate vendor relationships
  • Other duties may also be assigned
  • Coordinate testing with Optum Technology QA team, ServiceNow Product team members, and with end users when needed, due to enhancements and bug defect fixes
  • Communicate enhancements and changes to stakeholders, including writing and publishing release notes and knowledge articles
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to internal stakeholders on the HR module within ServiceNow and IT topics
  • Support the ongoing peak, and cyclical processes such as Manager Planning and Open Enrollment and enterprise initiatives, as needed
  • Interface with stakeholders to proactively address issues and support the service delivery
  • Engage with the Architect and Team Leads to produce high-level and /or detailed design of requirements
  • Provide training and change management support, as needed
  • Drive process optimization, efficiencies and productivity using automation
  • Work within an agile development/delivery framework
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of ServiceNow development experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a ServiceNow System Administrator or Developer
  • 3+ years of experience with at least 1 scripting language such as JavaScript or AngularJS
  • Experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS, and web service integrations using REST, SOAP
  • Hands-on experience developing applications in ServiceNow Service portal framework
  • Hands-on experience with AngularJS, Service Portal widgets and pages
  • Advanced level experience with ServiceNow’s primary toolset:
  • Service portal
  • Knowledge of Business rules, Client scripts, Script includesScript actions/events, Import sets, Export sets, Asynchronous transformation, Scripted REST
  • Knowledge of Development automation, Automated test framework
  • Good Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain Self Service Catalog Items and proficient with workflow automation, User Interface (UI) policies, data polices, actions, bustiness rules and client scripts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow Fundamentals or System Admin Certification
  • Certification in ServiceNow System Administrator or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
  • ServiceNow Application Development Certification
  • Experience in IT service management, ITIL certification
  • 3+ years of experience with Java, API testing, ServiceNow development and Admin
  • Selenium ( or other automated testing tool experience)
  • Exceptional customer service skills
