Job Description:

The Leidos Enterprise & Cyber Solutions Defense Group is seeking a Systems Administrator to support our N2NOMS program in Colorado Springs, CO. Our customer maintains a highly demanding mission and requires our support to provide expert technical and professional management support to the commands enterprise Information Technology (IT) services. In this role, you will be part of the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Optimization project to realign and improve the enterprise architecture for NORAD & NORTHCOM. This position will report directly to the Projects Team Lead.

Location: Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

What will you do in this role?

  • Serve as System Administrator and subject matter expert on a team that includes professional services vendors (VMware, Liquidware, Forcepoint, Microsoft).

  • Perform design / implementation planning, installation, configuration and testing of vendor products.

  • Rectify various issues in the VDI environment to improve performance and the user experience.

  • Work with vendors to develop a strategy and process for application virtualization. All applications should be available on the VDI environment. Virtualize applications using various vendor products.

  • Administer Active Directory Services, DHCP, DNS, GPO management.

  • Assess and analyze GPOs, develop an action plan to streamline GPOs and implement the plan.

  • Work with vendors to test upgrades and changes in the Test & Integration Lab prior to implementation on the production network.

  • Apply DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

  • Upgrade Window OS, automate master image builds and the deployment process.

  • Work with Forcepoint vendor to upgrade distribution consoles and Trusted Thin Client solution.

  • Interact with end-users and coordinate with support teams on systematic enhancements or changes.

  • Monitor, organize, and work collaboratively with Network Operations, Cyber Security, and other Teams to optimize and collaborate solutions.

  • Provide system and application diagnoses to remediate issues while engaging other teams as needed

These qualifications are required for the role...

  • Bachelor’s and 8 years of experience or Master’s and 6 years of experience in associated field; additional years of directly applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

  • Must hold or be able to obtain, DoD Secret security clearance prior to start and have the ability to obtain up to Top Secret/SCI clearance

  • Must have CompTIA Security +ce certification at start date

  • Must have Server certification i.e., Azure, CompTIA Server+, Nutanix, or be able to obtain one within 30 days of start

  • Experience managing Microsoft Active Directory, GPO’s management, Certificate Administration, and Domain Controller Functional services

  • Knowledge of security policies and general vulnerabilities management

  • Ability to communicate orally, and in writing, detailed technical information on troubleshooting and implementation efforts

  • Bachelor's degree in the associated field

  • Proven knowledge of computer security principles and DoD security protocols

  • ITIL Foundations Certification

  • Excellent project, technical, interpersonal, presentation, and problem management skills


Salary Target: $100,000

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,900.00 - $126,000.00 - $170,100.00
