Job Description:

Leidos has an exciting opening for a Network & Computer Systems Administrator at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Anchorage, Alaska, supporting the 611th Air Communications Squadron (611 ACOMS). This position requires an active Secret clearance as a minimum. The candidate will directly support 611th Air and Space Operations Center (611 AOC) systems, software, and operations. The candidate will provide engineering and technical services to provide for the maintenance, integration, and enhancement of the AOC Weapon System and other C5ISRO systems which interface with the AOC Weapon System. The candidate will monitor the status of projects, prepare milestone reports, and present status reports to program managers and client staff.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Performs the full range of system/network administration and database management tasks to include VMware virtual servers, Citrix Xen App and XenServer, SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange, Solaris UNIX, Linux, and Windows server system administration
  • Performs installation, configuration, and reconfiguration, software installs, load, and applications server configuration
  • System performance monitoring and multi-server troubleshooting
  • Security and user id/duty position management
  • Oracle/SQL database server management, backup, recovery, and maintenance in a real-time, online, redundant backup data server configuration
  • Database and applications server performance monitoring, problem documentation, and field-level resolution
  • Database SQL query and Oracle Report writer reports generation to satisfy user-articulated requirements
  • GUI customization and management
  • Maintenance of system files, and TBMCS system parameters
  • Ensures servers are following DoD Information Assurance requirements and updates servers that are not in compliance
  • Supports the AOC Configuration Management program
  • Assists in researching and preparing all materials/documentation in support of new system requirements submitted to the AOC Change Review Board (CRB)

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, electrical/electronic engineering, or mathematics
  • 3-5 years of experience administering a large, multi-server, workstation/thin client, relational database structured application systems are required.
  • May substitute 3 years of relevant configuration management experience for required educational qualifications.
  • Have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and SCCM
  • Have Microsoft SQL, Oracle 11G, and Sybase database knowledge and experience
  • Have a solid knowledge of Cisco Network IOS, Windows server, and various UNIX operating systems
  • Have a working knowledge of Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) and Theater Battle Management Core System (TBMCS)
  • Possess current knowledge of DoD Information Security Policies and Programs for COMPUSEC and INFOSEC, multi-level security, and emerging information warfare concepts utilizing Tenable Networks Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) system
  • Possess state-of-the-art knowledge of the World Wide Web, Intelink, and intranet technology, processes, and applications
  • Understand military operations, organizations, and operational information requirements
  • Must possess good written and oral communication skills, be customer service oriented, and possess project management skills
  • Demonstrate an ability to analyze problems and identify solutions methodically and proactively
  • Secret Clearance required; TS/SCI clearance preferred
  • DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II – Security + CE
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with C2 or Intel systems and/or PCI3 system/database administration is highly recommended.
  • Systems experience with UNIX, preferably Solaris system administration; Oracle Database Administration, SQL query; UNIX scripting languages; system/database monitoring; and multi-server troubleshooting recommended.
  • Experience in networking in a TCP/IP-based, intranet-like, distributed client environment is recommended.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00
