Job Summary:

The focal point at Keesler Air Force Base for all aspects of the various Personnel Data Systems (PDS). Provides service and support in all facets of defense civilian personnel data systems (DCPDS), Military Personnel Data Systems, and business objects systems for civilian and military customers at Keesler air force base. Provides PDS customers with assistance and training. Provides military personnel advisory services to commanders and staff on all personnel systems programs. Accomplishes other administrative tasks as required to ensure effective contractor mission support to a variety of customers at Keesler AFB.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages Oracle-based Personnel Data Systems to include Defense Civilian Personnel Data Systems (DCPDS) and Military Personnel Data System (MilPDS)
  • Maintains file of authorized system users and ensures requests for password reset are authentic; ensures users are informed of system releases and updates
  • Acts as computer support administrator for systems users; ensures accurate account management; administers systems security.
  • Loads and installs scheduled system releases and updates; informs users of the changes/updates.
  • Receives and produces products through Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC) Secure Print system.
  • Analyzes and monitors output products to evaluate data integrity.
  • Analyzes, tracks, and identifies trends with transaction registers data and reports findings to higher level management for action.
  • Schedules, produces, and suspends Management Assessment Products from higher headquarters and ensures Privacy Act is applied.
  • Assists personnel specialists and system users in understanding/using system management.
  • Builds, updates, maintains, and backs up local tables.
  • Ensures compliance with policies, directives, and procedures.
  • Maintains data, and provides statistical reports on programs and operations.
  • Provides accurate and timely customer service.
  • Maintains files of correspondence, directives, instructions, and other publications.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional and mission requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of military personnel policies, procedures, rules, guidelines, publications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PDS applications and working knowledge of personal computers and software.
  • Knowledge of systems interfaces as they pertain to Personnel Data Systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of personnel functions.
  • Ability to analyze data/products.
  • Skills to communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals, both orally and in writing.
