The Leidos Defense Group/Logistics and Mission Support Operation CTO organization is seeking a Solution Architect (SA) to develop solutions and technical offerings for our Navy Portfolio to include undersea sensors, hardware and software system integration, operations, maintenance, and testing.

Job Description
In this role you will support multiple new business proposals and projects within the Logistics and Mission Support Operation (LMSO) portfolio, with emphasis in one area aligned to the SAs’ skills and career objectives. You will work under the direction of a Senior SA, offering mentorship and guidance as you take on increasingly demanding solutioning efforts in terms of technical complexity, span across the Leidos enterprise, and potential revenue. The position works with other SAs in the Operation, the Defense Group, the Office of Technology (OoT), and across Leidos to pursue, win, and support execution of programs. Once on board, you may apply to the Corporate Solution Architect Program for addition opportunities to further your technical leadership maturation and broaden your experience.

Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include engaging in customer shaping efforts, requirements gathering, and proposal support activities, leveraging understanding of industry trends and Leidos capabilities for product development and system integration within the Navy domain:
•Contribute to investments and research that fuel innovation and technological advancements
•Support proposal and capture efforts in lead and supporting solution architect roles to support the Business Development and Capture team
•Assist various programs within the portfolio resolve issues and technology insertion
•Assist with system development, engineering, risk analysis, integration, and documentation for undersea sensors solutions
•Architect near, mid and long-term technical solutions for mobile and static surface and subsurface surveillance sensors and support systems.

Basic Qualifications
•Completion of Bachelor's of Science degree in an Engineering field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, systems) with at least 8 years of experience or a Master's of Science with at least 6 years of experience.
•Systems Engineering or similar background with experience in Requirements Definition, Analysis and Engineering; System Architecting; Technical Insertion Road mapping; System Analysis and Design; Interface and Data Architectures Definition; System Integration and Test; Validation and Verification; System Installation; System and Operational Performance Analysis; Lifecycle Cost Analysis and Estimation; and Decision Analysis and Resolution.
•Working knowledge of undersea sensors, acoustics and/or radar system design, development, documentation and lifecycle sustainment to include Requirements Definition, Analysis and Engineering; System Architecting; System Analysis and Design; Interface and Data Architectures Definition; System Integration and Test; Validation and Verification; System Installation; System and Operational Performance Analysis; Decision Analysis, and Analysis of Alternatives
•Experience with development and sustainment of complex Navy or maritime systems.
•Willingness to travel up to 25% depending on the home locations relative to those of teams and customers with whom the SA will interact.
•Familiarity with the development of innovative solutions in support of major capture and proposal efforts
•Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a TOP SECRET security clearance

Preferred Qualifications
•Master’s of Science in Systems Engineering with a minimum 10 years of Navy experience in submarine, acoustic, sonar mission areas
•Experience in the development of innovative solutions in support of major capture and proposal efforts, balancing these solutions against cost, schedule, function, quality, and other business considerations
•Experience working through technical exports with US State Department, US Navy Program Offices, Embassies and foreign customers
•Experience using modern digital engineering practices to include digital twin and MBSE knowledge on development or integration programs.
•Experience with Navy or international sensors and systems to include sonar, acoustics, and radar.
•Experience in creation of white papers, proposals, and/or briefings demonstrating the thought leadership capabilities of the organization, as well as supporting various marketing and business development efforts through customer interaction
•Active or previous TOP SECRET / SENSITIVE COMPARTMENTED INFORMATION (TS/SCI) security clearance

Pay Range:

Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
