AWS Systems Engineer ( R-00090036 )
Provides systems expertise to the Government and team for the migration of applications and processes into AWS. Determines recommended solution, creates project planning documentation, and executes tasks related to the transition plan, migration, and design for new components leveraging AWS services.
Primary Responsibilities include:
•Serve as SME for AWS products and services.
•Provide support for on-premises systems as needed, including security compliance and required updates.
•Recommend cloud migration solutions based upon existing systems and new planned requirements.
•Create all cloud migration project planning documentation include requirements and solution recommendations and task-focused schedule timelines, including start, end, and milestone dates.
•Work with application development team to execute the cloud migration in accordance with government requirements.
•Provide operations and maintenance of AWS solution in accordance with government requirements.
•Five (5) or more years of experience as a systems engineer.
•Three (3) or more years of proven experience migrating, developing or managing systems within AWS GovCloud.
•Experience with networking protocols and system interconnectivity.
•Experience in working with or assisting in an agile team software development
•project, working at a customer government site.
•Ability to work and manage tasks with limited supervision.
•Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Systems and 12 to 15 years of prior relevant experience OR Masters degree and 10 to 13 years of prior relevant experience.
•Engineering, Software Development, Information Systems or related field of study.
•Must be a US Citizen.
•Must have Top Secret Clearance – Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Eligible
•AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification, Solutions Architect Certification or other AWS Certification
•Experience in Agile Practices
