Responsibilities:

  • Serve as expert in all aspects of wireless integration efforts will provide management and trouble shooting for Wireless Access Points (WAP) and Wireless Intrusion Detection (WID) within the USARPAC Command and Control Facility (C2F).
  • Develop wireless network infrastructures and make recommendations on systems enhancements for optimization.
  • Provide technical assessment of requirements and definition from conception to launch.
  • Design and validate RF link performance, quality and reliability. Use measuring and diagnostic tools to test and adjust equipment.
  • Provide operation and maintenance support on all Wireless Network/WID/WAP systems within the C2F
  • Provide technical briefings, organizing and conducting training sessions for staff and customers and commercial vendors, to coordinate systems design and development.
  • Create manuals and support documentation and provide training.
  • Provide guidance and network administration on configurations and perform diagnostics on the Wireless infrastructure and systems architecture.
  • Implement new systems hardware and software and develops operating procedures, monitors the ongoing operation of a complex wireless environment.
  • Provide expertise in all wireless aspects and will provide management and troubleshooting of wireless environment ISO of the USARPAC C2F Operations and Maintenance requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience)
  • At least 7 years recent experience working with DoD Wireless Environments supporting integration and Operations and Maintenance (O&M)
  • Must be able meet DOD 8570 IAM/IAT minimum requirements (or be willing to obtain certification within 6 months of hire)
  • Knowledgeable and capable of performing all work necessary to plan, design, develop, document, test, implement, integrate, maintain, and/or coordinate modification of the Wireless communications systems as part of the Army's Enterprise Architecture, at the USARPAC C2F and other USARPAC Staff locations.
  • Experience managing IT projects
  • Due to the nature of the work, must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current CCNA or CCWA certification
  • Current Security+ certification
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
