The Leidos Intel Group supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has an excellent opportunity under their TVPS contract for a talented Systems Engineer. We are looking for an AppDynamics Engineer with ability to ensure successful adoption of AppDynamics technologies throughout the software application lifecycle to provide real-time analytics which help our customers proactively avoid performance issues and to rapidly diagnose and resolve problems should they occur. The System Engineer will be responsible for AppDynamics architecture, design, implementation and sustainability, delivering quality product and superior services.
Job Responsibilities:
•Build and enhance dashboards, reports and alerts to meet customer requirements
•Provide technical leadership on project best practices, design and process approach.
•Act as a subject matter expert in AppDynamics.
•Consult with customers to gather requirements and translate that into solutions.
•Analyze performance data and assist with performance troubleshooting / tuning of customer applications, architecture, procedures and practices.
•Deploy, administer, configure and maintain AppDynamics technology.
•Help customers troubleshoot, profile, and predict application performance issues
•Mentor and train customers on AppDynamics technology and best practices
Required Skills:
•Extensive technical IT experience that includes:
-IT Operations and Application Support
-Good soft skills (written/verbal) and good in front of customers
-Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, and the desire to work with customer stakeholders on a day-to-day basis
-Proven written communication and documentation skills
-Self-starter, prioritizing on getting the right tasks done first with little supervision
Desired Qualifications:
•AppDynamics Certification(ACIP)
Education:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and 8 to 12 years of prior relevent experience OR 6 to 10 years or prior relevant experience with a Masters Degree; or equivalent experience/ combination of education and experience.
•We are looking for experience in the following:
- Experience analyzing and detecting problems within an application and providing rapid response to mitigate critical issues and provide recommendations to prevent issues in the future.
- Experience working on performance monitoring tool alerts, dashboards and data trend analysis using an enterprise monitoring tool(s)
- Experience recommending baseline monitoring thresholds and recommend performance monitoring KPI's and SLA's
- Develop Splunk dashboards with visual metrics for stakeholders
Clearance: Qualified candidates will hold either an active CBP Full BI OR active Top Secret security clearance.
