Leidos has an opening for an experienced Systems Engineer to support the Systems Engineering aspect of the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) Program. The successful candidate should have firsthand fleet experience with Tomahawk mission planning and weaponeering . This Systems Engineer will help develop system requirements for the mission planning system by coordinating with stakeholders and applying first hand fleet knowledge.

The person in this position will develop system change requests which and follow our documented systems engineering processes. He or she will need to provide clear and articulate communication of user requirements, concerns and challenges in the form or briefs, white papers and other descriptive documents to help the program officer understand the priority of each system change. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of software development best practices, as well as analytical abilities to organize multiple key concepts.

PRIMARY FOCUS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Elicit Fleet User Requirements and integrate those requirements into our candidate system changes
• Develop Change Requests and analyze the impact of those changes to the overall TMPC system.
• Develop System Specifications and Sub-System Specifications for our developers
• Coordinate product and process improvements for the system workflow and work with system architects to update software models

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in technical field with 8 years of work related experience.
• Ability to manage customer demands within the boundaries of team capabilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of the Tomahawk System and Fleet Processes
• TS Clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in Engineering Management or equivalent.
• INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
• TS/SCI Clearance
