Our Logging Analytics service in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) provides a unified platform to search, browse, and analyze log data to deliver quick answers on structured and unstructured log data. We are looking for a technical leader who has architected and worked on implementation of large scale solutions. We want you to work with the latest technologies in an environment that encourages big ideas and radical new approaches.As a member of our Logging Analytics team you will work on the architecture and design of our product. You will solve complex and interesting problems in the area of distributed computing, high volume transaction processing, and large scale system design. Our success requires us to process hundreds of billions of data points a day in a multi-tenant cloud service. Our group has some very hard and interesting problems to solve in the area of processing and analyzing large amount of data in real time with distributed systems where data storage span clusters comprising hundreds of nodes.What You'll Do* Help advance the vision of our product through new ideas* Architect and build new user-facing and platform features to scale our service further* Work with various teams to translate prototypes and ideas into real-product features* Evaluate a variety of machine learning and big data analysis technologies* Balance new innovation and adapting it to already released cloud servicesQualifications* 10 years in computer related area* Experience managing or developing open source or commercial log analytics software (Elastic, Splunk, Sumologic, etc.)* Experience working on commercial products dealing with a large scale of data* Experience in machine learning, data augmentation and visualization desired* Experience working on large scale distributed systems* Proficiency in Java* Take initiative and be responsible for delivering complex software by working across several teams* Strong ability to communicating technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture)**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes.
