Position will be in the Critical Services Squad within our Product Support organization. This team manages technical projects across our portfolio of products. Current efforts include standardizing ITSM Incident and Problem management processes, assisting with product modernization efforts including support readiness, monitoring and alerting, and application performance observability and managing critical product and client escalations.

We’re searching for a Senior Technical Support Analyst to act as a Technical SME (Subject Matter Expert) and SLO (Service Level Owner) for a collection of applications. They will assist with managing technical issues and projects related to the products in their assigned group. They will also be responsible for working with partner teams to drive application stability, performance, and uptime expectations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as Service Level Owner and Production Support Technical SME for a collection of applications
  • Develop a deep, technical knowledge of products
  • Manage Production Support interests during product cloud migrations and assist with monitoring and alerting efforts
  • Coordinate with multiple product teams to resolve critical incidents and product escalations
  • Manage ITSM Incident / Problem Management processes and coordinate RCA and follow up activities with Product, Engineering and DevOps teams
  • Work with other SLOs to standardize support processes across products and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Manage additional projects to implement standards, improve products and refine support processes

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and/or 4+ equivalent professional experiences
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects and coordinating cross team collaborations
  • 3+ years of troubleshooting technical environments and providing problem analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Splunk suite of products including SplunkOnCall and SignalFx
  • Experience working with cloud technology preferably Azure
  • Experience with complex application architectures
  • Understanding of network routing and protocols
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Solid analytic, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little direct supervision and drive results with disciplined follow-though
  • Ability to achieve goals in an ambiguous and matrixed environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence others

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
