Amentum is seeking an Electronic Tech C -Aerial Targets for a position on Kauai, HI. Supporting the Aerial Targets department. Under minimum supervision, individual will perform target systems electrical and jet engine run tests, troubleshoots, repair and calibrate all systems and associated equipment and performs other related tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.


  • Performs periodic inspections and maintenance tasks in accordance with published procedures
  • Documents results of all maintenance actions electronically through Navy’s record keeping system.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs systems/equipment by reading and interpreting electronic/mechanical schematics by using simple and complex test equipment
  • Assists in preparing and developing new local procedures, procedural changes, and modification proposals
  • Configure/install augmentation equipment, checks-out, calibrate, modify, and perform acceptance tests on target drones and associated ground support equipment.
  • Support all phases of target operation to include target assembly, operational checks, launch and decontamination of targets.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
  • Work positions requirements: walking, standing, crawling, kneeling or cramped, repeated stooping or frequent climbing

Additional Responsibilities

  • Pushing/pulling 25-50 lbs.
  • Work Environment: Customer contact, extended workday, office laboratory, field assignment, and inclement weather.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent.
  • 2-Year Technical Electronic School or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four years’ experience in a related field of assignment with a minimum of two years in the specific field of assignment.
  • Possess or be able to obtain ordnance certification to inspect, install, test, and remove target related ordnances
  • Possess thorough knowledge of electronics theory and be proficient in reading and interpreting complicated schematic diagrams for troubleshooting and repair to the component level.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a soldering certificate.
  • Must possess or be able to demonstrate the following PC skills: Word, Outlook and NALCOMIS System

Security Clearance

Secret security clearance is required. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.
