Warehouse Janitor

The custodian provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area within the distribution center.

Working 2nd shift (1:00pm – 9:30pm) Sunday – Thursday

•Starting pay is $18.50 per hour

• Shift Differentials:

+$1.00/hr for 2ndshift

+ $1.00/hr for 3rdshift

+ $1.00/hr per weekend day as part of your normal schedule

Essential Functions

• Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities.

• Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing carpets, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

• Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

• Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with; co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.

• Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, and regulatory authorities.

• Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.

Responsibilities

• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.

• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

• Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures. Washes and replaces blinds.

• Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks.

• May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors.

• May also sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.

• Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment.

• Gathers and empties trash.

• Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, and equipment in breakroom areas.

• Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures.

• Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms.

• Periodically cleans overhead vents, dusts blinds, and furniture.

• Cleans interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.

• Sets up, arranges, and removes decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as events and meetings.

• Must keep janitor's closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order.

• Inventory and request new supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.

• Drives vehicles (if required) to perform or travel to cleaning work, including pallet jacks, or industrial vacuum cleaners.

• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Must pass a background check and drug screen.

• Must be eligible to work in the US.

Vacation: 30 hours of vacation in your first year, given in increments of 10 hours at 91 days, 10 hours at 180 days and 10 hours at 270 days, 40 hours on your 1st year Anniversary
