Racking Supervisor

What Will You Do?

You will provide effective workflow and direction to Racking Laborers within the retail and wholesale distribution centers ensuring efficient use of labor hours and productivity, while simultaneously following a continuous quality improvement philosophy. This position is responsible for the coordination of installation, maintenance, movement and teardown of racking material within all wholesale and retail distribution centers. Monitor daily schedules and adjusts staffing levels according to the project work.

Apply accountability standards based on key metrics and implements change to continuously improve performance and increase workflow efficiencies. Maintain the operational integrity of their assigned department, including utilization of space and equipment and ensure processes are effectively established, followed, monitored and optimized. Coach, mentor and support the development of staff and recognize individualandteam success.

What Do You Need?

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, business or supply chain management, or related field, or equivalent work experience, Required

  • 5 years’ experience in a medium to large sized distribution center environment managing a significant segment of the distribution center, Required

  • Understanding basic knowledge of logistics

  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles

  • Knowledge of distribution software and inventory management software

  • Experience with Document management systems

  • Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement
