Summary:

You will support Ashley Pacific Northwest operations to plan, direct, implement, manage, and oversee day-to-day Fleet Operations by coordinating the systematic planning and dispatch functions for all locations.

This includes utilizing assets and fleet personnel to control costs and maximize delivery performance. This position will plan activities, methods, and controls to meet quality, price, and safety standards and investigate and resolve scheduling and performance problems internally and externally.

The Fleet Manager will also recommend, develop, implement, and drive improvements and modifications of systems, processes, methods, resource utilization, etc., and ensure driver concerns are reviewed and addressed promptly. This position will interact with the leadership team and staff of other departments within the Company and outside representatives, including customers and carriers.


What Do You Need?

Bachelor's degree in business, Transportation, or related field, or equivalent work experience, Required

five years’ experience in Transportation/Management, Required

Experience with dray operations into and out of the SEATAC area ports, Required

Thorough understanding of area port operations, including port requirements, chassis match needs, scheduling for pre-arrivals, appointments, etc.

TMW and Microsoft Office Suite preferred

Familiar with FMCSA rules and regulations, including drivers' service hours.
