Summary

The Transportation Freight Sales Manager is responsible for soliciting and securing backhaul customers for Ashley Distribution Services. This position is accountable for top-line revenue growth and bottom-line profit growth through sales and communication activities. The Transportation Freight Sales Manager will coordinate and support Distribution operations involving confidential information and work on cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect potential customers and leads; reach out to customers and potential customers and visitors as necessary to develop and build business relationships.
  • Assist in developing requests for proposals (RFPs) and custom pricing as needed.
  • Provide business support for planning and execution regarding logistics for national accounts.
  • Determine daily, and long-term company needs when obtaining new clients.
  • Collaborate with the ADS Operations team to develop action plans to meet Company’s and customers’ needs.
  • Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.
  • Maintain reliable attendance.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings, training, and education. Assist with training other employees and providing backup.
  • Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.

What Do You Need?

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience, Required
  • 5 years in the trucking industry, specifically in Sales and Operations, Required

Compensation: $110k-130k plus quarterly incentive, depending on experience
