Job Description

The Sr. Specialist, Logistics will provide leadership, oversight, and strategic support for distribution and logistics strategies within the company's research labs portfolio. This position will interface with internal and external stakeholders to develop and oversee operational and process improvements relating to the supply chain logistics of clinical trials. The incumbent will be accountable to ensure the processes are robust, efficient, and comply with the company's Corporate Policies.

This position will closely liaise with our research laboratories Logistics, Clinical Supply Demand Management, Master Planning, Global Quality, Trade Operations, Trade Compliance, Relationship Management, Packaging technology, Procurement, Business Analytics, and Finance to implement consistent global processes and deliver the pipeline for on-time, cost-effective, and compliant distribution. This will include simplification and efficiency improvement of current procedures/processes applied across the company's research laboratories.

They will work collaboratively with global stakeholders and peers, to align on priorities and support the achievement of goals. This requires demonstrated critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. The incumbent may also initiate and/or lead organizational initiatives, on an as-needed basis.

The incumbent must maintain a high level of professionalism, efficiency, and follow-through. They will be expected to embody the company's values in their day-to-day activities. They should have a proven ability to influence across boundaries, communicate effectively in both a written and verbal format. They will be responsible for proactive and timely communication of challenges and opportunities to senior management and address project plans in a systematic and thoughtful manner.

Further tasks would include developing and executing strategic distribution strategies, establishing load balancing and siting criteria to impact global supply chain capacity, innovate continuous improvement, ownership of SAP-related processes, authoring standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Business Technical Documents, responsibility for logistics analytics and identifying areas for change to save on cost and time, and leading cross-functional clinical research teams for process development quality control and change management.

Educational Qualification:

  • Associates degree required

  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred
