Senior Logistics Plans & Exercise SME

Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a high-impact, detail-oriented Senior Logistics Plans and Exercise Subject-Matter Expert (SME) to provide analysis, planning and exercise support related to logistics gaps and partner capabilities in support of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) at Camp H.M. Smith, HI.

• Can share lessons learned that support high level logistics efforts across the theater critical to USINDOPACOM

In this position, you will provide assistance with senior-level logistics strategies and plans, prepare formal papers and background information, and provide briefings for USINDOPACOM senior leader consumption. You will facilitate the conduct of needs assessments to identify specific customer requirements for the strategic planning process. You will consult, coordinate, and provide analytical assistance to the staff in determining, tailoring, and documenting unit deployment equipment requirements.

You will also be responsible to attend, participate, and support the planning and execution of meetings, conferences, and exercises in the USINDOPACOM AOR. You'll coordinate with other Defense/Federal agencies, service components, and military installations for exercise support. You will assist the USINDOPACOM staff to determine the best possible logistics solutions to support exercises, to minimize costs, meet required timelines, and achieve logistics training objectives. You will assist in identifying and implementing IT tools and systems in support of exercise execution and logistics training

• At least 10 years' combined experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD)
• At least 3 years' experience in related logistics work
• At least 2 years' experience at a Combatant Command or Service Component HQ
• Experience briefing and developing projects for FO/GOs from across the DOD
• Experience in writing reports, graphics and information papers
• Experience coordinating with other DoD entities, including the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense and INDOPACOM's Service Components as well as non-DoD organizations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products and SharePoint collaborative tools
• Due to the nature of work, must be a U.S. citizen
• Must have an active Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

• Bachelor's degree
• Master's Degree and/or attendance as Service Command and General Staff College
• 3 years' experience in the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations (AOR)
• Familiar with INDOPACOM Theater Campaign Plan (TCP), Deliberate and Crisis Action Plans, and Operations Plans (OPLANS)
• TS/SCI clearance
