Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a Material Flow Supervisor – Material & Logistics to join our team. This position is based at our Cleveland, TN facility.

Position Overview:

The main functions of this role are to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company’s inventory and execute shipments to customers on time. Provide support to both Receiving & Shipping areas of the facility by acting as a liaison between Production, Materials, and Transportation. Responsible for Time-keeping and other manufacturing systems to maintain accurate system data pertaining to these functions. Supervise Receiving, Shipping, Q69 Whs. Create and implement Material Handling and Logistics Strategy for the Plant.

In this function you will:

  • Lead and supervise management of inventory.
  • Lead and supervise 1st shift Shipping and Receiving Departments including receiving & shipping transactions (directional responsibility for any Shipping/Receiving/whs personnel on off-shifts).
  • Create and implement Material Handling and Logistics Strategy for the Plant.
  • Generate Standard Work instructions for Material Handling & Shipping activities including regular reviews for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Audit processes implemented to ensure maintaining of new standards.
  • Resolving inventory/ receiving transaction issues (liaison with Purchasing and Finance).
  • Responsible for ad hoc cycle counts as well as official cycle count program.
  • Oversee Shipping processes including printing & coordination of daily product shipments (liaison with Production and Transportation).
  • Oversee Training processes to support goal of developing a more robust cross-trained staff allowing improved manpower capacity planning to meet the daily requirements
  • Provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development
  • Assist with reporting and root cause analysis for issues found
  • Implement and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture
  • Foster an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement.
  • Communicate company policies, procedures, and guidelines and ensure they are consistently practiced.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to expedite the workflow and ensure the established quality expectations.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a Supply Chain field
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics capacity
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Cleveland, TN facility. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of Supervisory work experience
  • Infor or similar MRP system knowledge strongly preferred
  • Microsoft Office experience
