Associate Specialist, Logistics

Purpose of the role

In this exciting role you will be part of the EMEA Logistics Services Team supporting the Import/Export Center of Excellence team and the Transportation team. The group’s goal is to move Organon’s shipments safely, in a compliant manner to our customers to the right place, right time with the right price. Our hard working yet fun team is mainly based in Amsterdam, but the role can also be performed in any European country.

Welcome to the team

The EMEA Logistics Services team handles over 90% of the Organon’s global shipments. Furthermore, the Import/Export team supports the main Organon manufacturing sites in EMEA and Organon’s largest global distribution centre (located in Belgium). Within the Trade group we manage very complex regions in terms of trade compliance.

Main responsibilities

  • Freight Bill Audit responsibility for Freight Forwarder invoicing
  • Support our External Manufacturing sites on Transportation related issues.
  • Responsible for smaller noncommercial shipments and work with our trade compliance group and relevant 3PL.
  • Coordinating shipments with freight forwarders to make agreed dates.
  • Support any operational activities where needed such as 3PL administrative tasks.
  • Work with the Logistics Service Providers on a regular basis to ensure a smooth execution of all trade compliance operational and transactional activities.
  • Work directly with internal departments, including demand fulfillment and global trade compliance.

Your profile

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree or comparable professionalism in logistics
  • A solid background of relevant work experience in supply chain
  • You have communication skills; a high sense of accuracy and you are customer focused.
  • Highly motivated to learn and to help all areas of the logistics team.
  • Experience with/knowledge of SAP (S/4HANA) is highly preferred for the role.
  • Proficient English (must) and Dutch (preferred) language skills
