About the Opportunity

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance on company aircraft in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance program. The technician possesses knowledge of and works in compliance with FARs, company values and department policies.

FirstEnergy Flight Maintenance is located at the Akron-Canton airport (KCAK), and is a FAR Part 91, ISBAO Stage III certified flight department operating turbine powered large cabin fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft.

Responsibilities include:

Working within Flight Operations to maintain a culture with a high-level safety and customer service

Maximizing aircraft availability and reliability by managing and performing pre-post flight inspections, scheduled and non-routine maintenance on company aircraft and equipment

Creating and managing return to service paperwork in hard copy and digital format

Ordering, receiving aircraft parts and process returns and related paperwork

Perform towing, fueling, and marshalling aircraft

Launching and recovery of aircraft, and includes handling passenger luggage

Performing routine cleaning of aircraft, equipment, and facility

Operating and maintaining fuel farm

Qualifications:

High school graduate or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Minimum 7-10 years of recent, relevant work experience is required. Relevant work experience includes experience maintaining multi turbine engine fixed wing and or rotor wing aircraft.

Falcon 900EX EASy and/or Bell 429 helicopter experience preferred.

Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License. IA preferred

Possess Valid US Driver’s License and US Passport

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Experience maintaining Garmin avionics preferred

Strong problem solving and communication skills

Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with people across the department

Experience with Flightdocs and CAMP

Able to work a rotating day, evening shift, weekends, holidays and after hours call outs

Able to lift 70 pounds

Able to work from ladders, scaffolding and man lifts

Able to perform elevated work with fall protection

Able to work in restricted or confined spaces

Possess a thorough knowledge of and ability to demonstrate industry safety practices

Available for occasional travel
