IBM Talent & Engagement Solution Architect (m/f/x) in Köln, Germany

Introduction

Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a high calibre individual to join our Cognitive Process Services (CPS) practice, working as Talent & Engagement Solution Architect with a focus on Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO).

CPS combines process, people, and technology transformation with an outsourcing delivery model to create significant client business value. Our solutions provide services to clients using a mix of on-shore, near-shore and offshore IBM delivery centres.

The Solution Architect will be leading the solution team on RPO engagements and will be responsible for generating high levels of client satisfaction by developing solutions for client proposals in both Request for Proposal (RFP) format and non-RFP format. In both formats, the Solution Architect will be expected to interact with clients at CXO level and with the client’s appointed 3rd party advisors, where applicable, to shape and present the most appropriate solution. This includes collection of client requirements, working with internal IBM partners and other 3rd party providers, preparing and delivering written and oral communications, and negotiating contact details.

The Solution Architect applies collaborative techniques such as Design Thinking with client stakeholders and articulates the benefits of the value proposition across various levels. With that approach the Solution Architect will also be able to identify the Client's business issues and strategies, and understand what is most important to the Client and why. As part of proposal development, the Solution Architect will be responsible for leading and designing CPS RPO solutions for existing or prospective IBM clients, working closely with the appointed CPS Sales Lead. This also includes accurately capturing and recording all costs associated with a proposed solution, working with requirements, baseline and other financial information provided by the client and information publicly available to understand the client’s business needs and developing a client focused business case to support a "price to win". Working with client provided documents, the Solution Architect will be able to clearly articulate clients requirements to the engagement team. In this capacity, the Solution Architect will often have to manage adhoc solution/proposal teams, bringing together experience from across the different areas of the IBM business. The Solution Architect will be accredited according to our CPS solution standards and needs to apply those throughout the pursuits managed by him/her. The role is hands-on and requires a personal contribution to the detailed design of the proposed solutions, in particular with respect to the solution elements requiring expertise in RPO and ideally in the following areas: HR Processes, Shared Services, choice of IT enablers (Analytics and Cognitive Tools) and understanding of transition work from clients to IBM delivery centers around the world.

We are looking for proven experience and leadership in RPO and more than one of the following areas: HR Processes, HR Operation, Learning, Automation Technology, HR Analytics, HR Governance, Employee Experience, Employee Engagement.

Skills must have:

  • Strong HR background

  • Fluent in English

  • RPO experience

  • Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills – Ability to articulate concepts, ideas, recommendations and technical knowledge that fit the audience. This includes the ability to develop and deliver effective communications with our client, IBM executives, organizations and business partners, as appropriate.

  • Ability to develop and manage working and personal relationships with decision makers within client's environment and internally in IBM including the Project Executive, Delivery Project Executive, functional, divisional, operational, business partners, and suppliers.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

  • Strong HR background

  • Fluent in English

  • RPO experience

  • Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills

  • Ability to develop and manage working and personal relationships with decision makers within client's environment and internally in IBM including the Project Executive, Delivery Project Executive, functional, divisional, operational, business partners, and suppliers.
